this is the kind of stuff i learn everyday at work. that and how my youth are being so bombarded by everyone else's crap that it multiplies their own growing pains and makes it difficult to cope and get by okay. that's why so many of them use and abuse. but society just casts them off as personality problems. i believe that if we want our youth to be better people than they seem to be, then everyone has to work together to educate and support them. not just their teachers. but their parents. their neighbors. whoever comes into contact with them. a village should raise a child.

speaking of dance, does anyone know how to do a rain dance? it's so close to raining but it just ain't falling. i want to go swimming in the rain. one of those life experiences i want sooner than later. but we'll see. [crosses fingers] and did anyone notice the cold weather alert for california? apparently, socal cannot handle 20s and 30s for lows. we'll see!

also, we're going to learn new dance pieces tomorrow! i'm so thrilled! and we have students who said they would stay! yessss! and, and...yesterday, i watched a trial video tape from my senior year of high school and some of the pieces we did, i could not figure out for the life of me! boooo! i hope someone can help me!

oh! and the group who came last spring to teach singing and dancing to my school will be back at the end of this month! ahh! how fun! performing with 60 people is soooo fuuun! w00t w00t!

hi, all! happy new year! i hope 2007 brings you goodness and what you need most!

the only weird thing about this year is that i didn't try to sit down and figure out any resolutions. then again, i didn't really see this "new year's" as anything worth signifying a new start, mostly because it's starting to feel really arbitrary. i look forward to lunar new year and spring; maybe they'll feel more like fresh starts.
